Christopher Sims, cemetery associate for American Battle Monuments Commission, will discuss the evolution of the Flanders Field American Cemetery and Memorial, the only American WWI cemetery in Belgium. Sims will reflect on Memorial Day activities at the cemetery and recount visitor experiences during his 38 years of service. This event will take place in the Museum’s J.C. Nichols Auditorium.
