The Center for the History of Collecting presents this two-day symposium on America’s taste for seventeenth-century Flemish painting. The keynote address, by Arthur K. Wheelock Jr., is followed by presentations on pioneering private collectors, as well as public collections in New York, Detroit, and Los Angeles. The event concludes with an interview of eminent collector Thomas Leysen.
